About Me

I made my big girl dreams come true by writing my first novel on the coastline of eastern Australia in 2010. I was supposed to be working. I sat in the sand with my new Macbook instead.

When I came back home, I shoved my messy manuscript into a hidden file on my computer. You know that feeling from school, when you're too terrified to look at the grade written on the report you just got back, because you're not sure if it's any good? That's the feeling I had about my book.

But one day, that manuscript clawed its way to the top of my consciousness again, and I decided to publish it. I launched an Indiegogo campaign (complete with mortifying homemade video) to raise money to do it right, then hired a graphic designer and an editor to help me wield my massive beast into something more tame.

Once, We Were Stolen is the result of hours upon hours of work. It was my very first passion project. And even though it's been a few years now, and even though some of the writing makes me cringe because I'd have written it differently today, I'm still pretty proud of myself for seeing it through.

I could show you my blog, but that would just be embarrassing because I haven't been so good at seeing this one through. It's a work in progress.

Thanks for reading!
